ABOUT
g'day. I'm Jen.
I'm an award-winning professional photographer, specialising in newborns, babies, kids and families.
At the start of my career I worked in journalism and PR, but I always had a camera in my hand. Most days (and evenings) I could be found daydreaming about taking pictures. I would stare at photography books for hours on end (this was before the internet!) and spent countless hours practising the craft. Eventually, it was something I decided to pursue professionally. Over the last decade I have photographed hundreds of babies, kids and families in the Bathurst and Orange districts, and have travelled far and wide for sessions.
More importantly, I am mum to four super cool kids - aged 12, 10, 7 and 5, and wife to a very good man. We live a happy, loud and simple farm life together. I feel at home in the country and in nature. I love camping, bushwalking, mowing the lawn (so long as it's a ride-on!) and generally doing anything that allows me to breathe-in the country air. My hobbies are varied, but mostly consist of drinking cups of tea and eating scones, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, painting, reading and hanging out with our crazy kids.
In 2017, my family relocated to the Forbes area where I am now based. I still return to Bathurst, Orange and surrounds for shoots, and will continue to do so. I work strictly on a part-time basis and take limited work so I can focus on the needs of my young family.
Over the years I've been lucky enough to be recognised for my photography work. Some of my accomplishments include:
