I love colour, I love Spring, oh… and Christmas is coming… {bathurst photographer}

But most of all I love these little dudes. They are funny little buggers. They keep me on my toes, test my patience, and get into everything humanly possible …. but the amount of happiness they bring is endless. Keep your free spirits my little men and you will go far… These photographs are of my boys just being themselves. And yes, my youngest son Beau is 2.5 years and still eats things that are not food (e.g. grass).

On a side note, if you are thinking of booking a session with Jennifer Stocks Photography before Christmas – get in fast! October is almost booked out. In order to get your prints/packages back before Christmas time the cut-off point will be November 10th. Unfortunately, I can’t guarantee any pre-Christmas orders after this time. So, get on your bike if you are after a session with me before Christmas!!!

I will still be doing photo-sessions after this date – I just can’t guarantee I will be able to get prints, etc back before Christmas. It is actually really close (something I just realised yesterday when I saw Christmas decorations and products for sale down the street). Depending on which way you like to look at it – it is actually 84 days OR 2024 hours away.

Looking back

There are times where I am super organised, super keen, super motivated. Today is one of those days. I have been powering through work. The boys had their day at day care today, and had a fun time. I love picking them up on their school day, letting them stay up a bit later than normal and having a nice family dinner together. I sure love those little guys.

So it seems life as my little family knows it, is back to normal after a string of exciting events. My sister and her family were in town from Queensland for a month (she also had her newest little baby here), my other little sister got married in what was the most beautiful day (she also looked really hot), and we had loads of family in town (including my big brother and his gorgeous family).

Life is exciting when it is out of the ordinary, but I have to admit I am one who likes everyday life. But….. there is nothing better than when you can be around other people and still do ordinary things. I’ve been meaning to blog these photographs for some time now, but haven’t had the chance. I love these for their simplicity and for the togetherness they show.

I love my family because when I am around them the ordinary is so damn extraordinary.

A beautiful life

A beautiful little life came into the world on Saturday 5am, 5th September. This perfect little creature was my nephew Eli, and he arrived 5 days early. I was fortunate enough to share the entire experience with my sister and mum (as her husband was at work in Queensland and wasn’t able to get there on time). In fact, I even had the pleasure of photographing the birth to show Eli’s daddy. It was the most awakening, fulfilling, amazing experience watching this perfect little creature come into the world.

It was even more inspiring watching my brave, amazingly gutsy sister give birth to him. She is a true hero. (Not to mention the fact that she was home by lunch-time that day to ensure she was around for our little sisters hens night which just so happened to be on the same day). Fortunately it was being held at our parents house so she could sneak away for some quiet time, and a quick kip or two. I think it definitely makes a difference that it was her 3rd baby, so doing it that way was far more achievable than if it was her first baby!

So, of course – I had to take some newborn photographs of this gorgeous little man. He has a beautiful head of hair and gorgeous eyelashes and lips. He actually looks so much like his dad it is uncanny. So, here we go – some long awaited images of this gorgeous little man….Oh, how I love him.

Something a little different

For the most part, I photograph babies, young kids and families. That’s not to say I don’t photograph other subjects though! Last week I had the chance to shoot three twenty-something’s as a present for their mum’s birthday. It was so much fun, and it is SO much easier to photograph willing subjects! They were fun, funky and got along like a house-on-fire! I loved the way they spoke about their mum, and thought it was totally cool they bought along their mums guitar to incorporate into the photos. It’s so much fun doing something a little different.

This preview is a little late as it has been a crazy week (my little sister just got married), but I really hope you guys enjoy it! I will be in touch with your gallery really soon!

Baby Eliza

Babies are everywhere at the moment, but especially this week. Not only did my sister give birth to a beautiful little boy in the early hours of Saturday morning (more to come on that in the next week), but I was lucky enough to meet the beautiful Miss Eliza. I have taken newborn photographs for her three cousins before, and felt so happy to photograph little Eliza too.

Unfortunately, Eliza didn’t love the idea of having her photo’s taken, but eventually we managed to get her settled to take a few snaps. Brad and Nic, I hope you guys enjoy your preview. Your little girl is amazing – she is truly beautiful!
