The other day I met a funky family

Oh yes indeedy, this family of 4 were a pretty funky bunch. I felt very privileged to visit their home to photograph their shenanigans….

I could instantly see why the house was so fun… mum and dad are just like big kids themselves. Dave & Kellie (mum & dad) were as full of beans as their beautiful children (Charlie & Tillie). It was so wonderful see to SO much energy and spirit in their family. They were also an insanely gorgeous family (I don’t know why I bothered to point that out as it would have been very obvious just by looking at the photos…). They all have such amazing eyes, and their wardrobe looked awesome together (don’t you just love Kellie’s red dress & boots?).

They had such a close family connection and were so affectionate and loving to each other. Dave and Kellie are so obviously still crazy in love with each other. Did I also mention that their home was fabulous too (probably has something to do with the fact they are builders?). Gosh, the list just goes on and on.

I better wrap it up there and post some images for you guys! So here is a sneak peek. I will be in touch very very soon about your online gallery. I hope you like your preview! Oh, and Happy Birthday for yesterday Kellie – I hope you had a blast.

A family Affair

I had the great pleasure of photographing a beautiful Greek Baptism last weekend. It was such a great celebration – as I expected it would be. The little man of the day was quite sick – poor little darling – but battled on so brilliantly.

Although the family is Greek Orthodox, Father Paul at All Saints College was kind enough to allow the family to use the All Saints Chapel. They also had a Priest from Dubbo come down to conduct the baptism. This was followed by a lovely lunch at the Mount Restaurant. It was such a well-planned and fun celebration. There was a big jumping castle, an amazing array of traditional Greek food, giant lollypops for the kids and beautiful favours for the guests. Of course, the best thing was the family feel to the event – everyone was having so much fun (especially the kids) and I still can’t get over how beautiful the entire family was (on the inside and out).

Thank you for having me photograph this special occasion – I loved it. It was also fantastic to meet your wonderful family, and experience my first ever Greek Orthodox Baptism. Here are a few collages of your day – hope you enjoy them. I will be in contact soon!

Cheeky monkeys

Just a really quick post tonight (well, this morning) before I hit the sack.

We have some great friends who live in a beautiful place west of us,  Narromine. They drop down to Bathurst occasionally, and pop in to say g’day. They always bring a cake and a box of favourites too. Mmmm. Yummo. I love when they come to visit, and it’s not just because of the chocs I swear! These guys are the one of the liveliest families I know, and not only are the kids little champions – they are also ridiculously cute (as you will see from the shots below). Their skin seriously puts mine to shame – these guys have the most stunning olive/tanned skin, and magical eyes and the whitest blonde hair ever. And, I’m not crazy – so of course there was no way I able to resist taking them aside for 5 mins for a few photos?

So, here you go guys – I finally got a bit of spare time to proof some of the photos (gosh, that was actually months ago now – I am so behind on personal stuff!). I hope you love them and I will call you soon.

I met a sleepy little man

What a fabulous job I have! Honestly…. I get to meet, cuddle and photograph cute babies! And this little fella was absolutely amazing in so many ways.  Firstly, he has the most beautiful olive skin, and LONG – did I say LONG eyelashes that go curly at the ends, and a beautiful, happy gummy smile. Of course, as soon as I set eyes on his parents I knew where he had got his great looks from! For some reason I keep thinking of Pocahontas when I think of Jacqui (the mum).

To top it all off, little Lachlan was the most incredibly well behaved baby in the history of me photographing babies. I don’t mean to draw comparisons, but I don’t think I heard him cry once and he slept like, well… a baby! When I arrived, he was flashing his big smile at me at every chance, so I managed to get some beautiful shots of him smiling. Then he decided he was hungry and a bit on the sleepy side, and after a breastfeed he drifted off to sleep. He stayed asleep until I left. I just couldn’t believe it, especially since he is 10 weeks old – babies are hard to photograph asleep after a few weeks old. Most people would think that having the baby asleep is not ideal, but I love to photograph babies while they are sleeping. They look cosy, comfy and beautiful, and that is the way most of us remember them. Of course, I love to get awake shots too, but often my favourites are those lovely nakie curled up shots. Anyway, you will see in the sneap peek here, that in most of the shots little Lachlan is totally zonked out!

I commented recently about parents that just make you so feel so positive. These guys did that for me. They are completely natural parents, and are so completely in love with each other. They gave me such good vibes, and those vibes stayed with me for the rest of the day, and are still with me today actually… Thanks for having me photograph your little dude! It was such a pleasure to meet you, and see how full of life your little family is. I will be in touch with your full gallery soon!
