Little Baby Chloe
I met and photographed a gorgeous 9 week old baby recently, and she was a true gem. Serious cluckiness going on when I was there, I have to admit. I actually met her mum when I was giving birth to our sons, as she is a midwife at the hospital. I remembered her, even though she was a student midwife at the time and wasn’t with us for the births - she just made a great impression on me – so sweet and friendly and gorgeous. My husband also remembers her – which is a pretty impressive. I just know that these guys are going to raise the most amazing children – they are so patient and loving and confident in caring for their little girl.
So, I felt really honoured to be able to take some photos of their beautiful little girl, Chloe. I travelled out to Oberon for the shots, and it was pouring rain, then sunny, then cold, then windy (although not necessarily in that order!) Despite the temperamental Oberon weather, it was so great just chatting and taking photos – geez, I love what I do!
We tried to get the lazy, sleepy baby shots – but it is SO much harder when they are older than 2 weeks old. Fortunately, Chloe was a little trooper and gave us a few short sleeps, so I was happy with what we achieved in the way of sleepy shots. Oh, and I must mention how darn cute this little one looked while she was sleeping. So so so cuuuuuuuteeee!
So, here is a sneak peek for you guys. I hope you like them and your gallery will be ready really really soon!

Funny thing – I joked about not being very good at numbers in my last post, and it turns out I WAS wrong! Don’t worry I’m not shocked at all.
So, it appears yesterday was 9 sleeps till Santa comes and today is 8 sleeps! Now, the only reason I know is because my friend told me that’s what Tim from the Channel 10 news said in the weather report. Even though I wouldn’t necessarily pin all my hopes on Channel 10 for journalistic integrity, I still think he could add better than I could.
So, here is my Christmas picture for the day! Happy 9 sleeps till Santa comes everybody!
Only 10 sleeps till santa comes!
I am flat chat with proofing sessions, but I just had to add this cute little shot of my little boys. And yes, if I am adding up right (which I have never been known to) it is only 10 sleep until Santa comes.
Holy crap I need to hurry up and get out some Christmas cards! Arrgghh! Maybe I can make the boys write on them (well, draw circles and creatures that look like big ants – which I think are actually humans). That would be a real time saver!
I SO can’t wait to give the boys their pressies. Christmas this year is going to be so fun. Christmas is fun when you don’t have kids, but it is the ultimate day when you do have kids, even if they are still wee little babies.
We had a blast putting the tree up (late of course) but at least it is up and standing proudly in our living room. Dusty did the majority of the tree decorating and I swear it looks WAY better than all the previous years when I have actually tried to make it look beautiful. Mind you, Beau has a blast of a time pulling them all off. The tree is slowly starting to become decorated on the top, with nothing down the bottom, as I re-put the decorations back on the tree higher and higher.
Actually, I might come up with a new HOW MANY SLEEPS post everyday until Christmas! Featuring my boys of course! Yes, I am inspired. Let’s see if it actually happens!
Kathleen & Roy – wedding
I was extremely lucky to be able to photograph the gorgeous wedding of Kathleen & Roy in late November. I was also lucky enough to have my friend and fellow photographer Penny Smith shoot with me.
I typically don’t photograph weddings, but have known Kathleen since school and when she asked, I thought I would give it a go! This was (both mine and Penny’s second ever wedding – as the photographers anyway!). I have booked a limited number of weddings in 2009, but again, these are mostly for friends.
Anyway, back to the exciting part – the ceremony and reception were held in Orange at the stunning Borrodell on the Mount. The place is absolutely stunning, and if you are planning a wedding in Orange you should definitely check it out. The view there was killing me – it was just breathtaking.
Equally breathtaking was the bride (oh, and the groom of course!), and I must make a special mention of how gorgeous the bridesmaids were. I loved their dresses, and I loved the Maid of Honour’s preggie belly. I even got a few shots of her belly while I could! Not to mention their gorgeous little flowergirl – I could have photographed her all day long.
Well, here you go guys – your sneak peek! I hope you like them! I still have a bunch more to go through, but should have them ready for you soon!
Thanks for putting your trust in me to photograph your wedding – it really means a lot to me. A big thanks also to Penny for second shooting the wedding – you are an awesome photographer and friend! Also, a big thanks to US photographers, Bobbi & Mike for inspiring the wedding ring shot!
