A few days ago, I had the pleasure of photographing this little man, Max (8 months). As well as being a little dude, he was an absolute charmer – beautiful big blue eyes, a lovely smile and really chilled out! When I arrived at their home (which is beautiful) I saw lots of yummy natural light coming in from everywhere – a photographers dream – yay.
I had so much fun taking photos for this family - I have known the mum for a long time (we used to work at the video shop together during highschool). So we had fun catching up and reminiscing about the backpack vacuum cleaner we were made to wear when we worked there. Customers used to always crack jokes about us being Ghostbusters so as you can imagine, it was SO SO terribly embarrassing for us teenage girls to wear. I have never vacuumed so quickly in my life as when we had to use the dreaded backpack, and distinctly remember hiding behind shelves at one time or another if someone I knew walked in. Would I care now at 28? God no!
I must say what a vibrant, beautiful family this little man is now a part of. His mum and dad are so clearly smitten with him, and I see their faces just light up when they look at him. Max’s mum is just a natural – this is a woman who was meant to have babies. She is so bubbly and relaxed with him. I must also add that they had me laughing – the performance going on behind me to get their little fellas attention would rival any Wiggles concert! There was some serious singing and weird moves and funny noises going on and Max was just loving it! Some parents just give you the most positive feeling, and going off that, this little man is going to have a really happy life.
Thankyou guys for the opportunity to photograph your little man. I’m also glad I got to sneak a few shots of you guys too! I hope you enjoy these, and I will be in touch with your gallery soon.
