Captured this evening as we roamed around the sheds after spending the afternoon at a kiddy birthday party.
The story – The boys love the sheds. They love floating around and climbing on everything, sitting on the tractors and inspecting the machinery. They love taking ice-blocks down to daddy and sitting on the truck tray while we eat them. But, very importantly, they also know they aren’t allowed in the sheds without mum or dad. Today, when we arrived home from a wonderful afternoon at a birthday party I grabbed my camera and we took the boys for a wander around the sheds where Grandpa was working. (You can even see Beau still carting around his little party bag, while they suck on lolly-pops).
Dusty suggested we take our photo for today in front of the hay bales, and then on the seed drill. I went with both ideas, and am putting both up today. I love that Dusty and Beau are getting involved and coming up with fun things and ideas for our January Photo A Day – it’s the first time they have actually been excited about photography at all. Usually, they are like ‘meh’ when it comes to photos and being IN them. They know what the project is all about, and try and think of things we regularly do that we can document in photographs. I’m so pleased I started on this project, and am even considering carrying it on into the next month since our baby will arrive very shortly. As much as it would be totally insane to keep going into February (it actually takes up a lot of time), it would also be the most wonderful and treasured family memory at this pivotal time in our lives. Hmm… we’ll just have to wait and see I guess! Regardless, this new baby of ours is going to be a very photographed little thing!
