40 Days of Summer is a personal photographic project I do annually, capturing one photograph of my family life every day, for the duration of the project.
Day 26 – Tuesday, 17th January 2012 @ 8.49pm
Captured - As the boys had a movie night with their cousins, Will & Archie.
The story – My sister and her kids are visiting during the school holidays. Katie has three boys too. Will, Archer and Eli.
It is the most beautiful thing to see how they get along, and they are always beyond excited to see each other. When they see each other they run and hug for ages, and you can’t get the smiles off their little faces. They sit down and play lego, and run around outside like wild banshees. Today we decided they could stay up and have a movie night. We put the younger two kids, Eli and Mitch, to bed. Then the older kids settled down to watch Harry Potter, while eating potato chips. They wanted the lights off, and candles to set a ‘spooky’s atmosphere, so we happily obliged.
This image is grainy, is taken only by candlelight, but I love that cousins can do the simplest of things together and they are the BEST things.
